about

Brooklyn Rider celebrates Claude Debussy with a fresh and vivid interpretation of his String Quartet in G Minor. Following their critically acclaimed debut album, Passport (2008), Dominant Curve, a self-produced recording from the group, marked their second release on In a Circle Records. Dominant Curve's eclectic sound world is deeply reflective of the signature approach of Brooklyn Rider. Like much of the quartet's output, the album is global in its scale - representing traditions from France, United States, Uzbekistan, Japan, and beyond. It also represents Brooklyn Rider's porous approach to the string quartet tradition, creating a transformational journey between familiar and unfamiliar, acoustic and electro-acoustic, past and present.
